The ground rules for using Casper.
Effective April 21, 2026These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a contract between you and @casper.ai ltd. (“Casper,” “we,” “us”). By accessing or using askcasper.ai or any related product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Casper. By using the service you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and permits your use.
Casper is an AI-powered chat companion for conversation, homework help, and general companionship. Casper's responses are generated automatically by large language models and real-time safety moderation. Casper is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice, and you should not rely on Casper for decisions requiring a qualified professional.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their permission.

Casper offers an optional paid subscription (Casper Max) with pricing described on our Pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe (most countries) and Razorpay (India). Your bank or payment processor may charge additional fees (FX, service fees) that Casper does not control. See our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
Parents and guardians may create a Parent Portal account to view their child's conversation transcripts, safety alerts, and usage data. Linking requires the child's Ghost Key. By linking, the child consents to the parent's monitoring. Either the child or the parent may unlink at any time.
You retain all ownership of messages you send to Casper. By sending messages, you grant Casper a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit those messages strictly for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we do not sell your content.
Every message is screened by real-time AI moderation. When Casper detects crisis signals (self-harm, abuse, emergency), it will provide local hotline numbers and may prompt the user to talk to a trusted adult. Moderation is not perfect — Casper may occasionally generate incorrect or unexpected responses. If Casper says something that concerns you, please report it to [email protected].
The Casper name, logo, ghost character, website, software, and all associated branding are the property of @casper.ai ltd. You may not use our branding without prior written consent. Casper's responses are generated content you may use for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not claim generated content as an original work of a human author.
You may stop using Casper and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) will survive.
CASPER IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT CASPER WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASPER AI, LTD. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CASPER IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless @casper.ai ltd. from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas — except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction, in which case that right is preserved. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Brazil, and India may bring claims in their home jurisdiction as local law permits.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in-product and by email where we have one. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
